A Little Office Style: Real Life, Still Intentional
April felt different.
Not in a dramatic, overnight transformation kind of way… but in the quiet, subtle shift of how I started showing up for myself again.
As a mom, a full-time employee, and someone still learning her body in this season of life, getting dressed could’ve easily become an afterthought. Something rushed. Something functional. Something I “just threw on.”
But this month? I decided to be intentional about it.
That’s where “A Little Office Style” came from.

The Shift: From Reset to Real Life
March was about resetting. Getting my mind right. Figuring out routines. Trying to pour back into myself.
But April?
April was about living in it.
Not waiting until everything felt perfect.
Not waiting until my body looked a certain way.
Not waiting until life slowed down (because let’s be real… it doesn’t).
Just… showing up as I am.
And getting dressed anyway.
Style That Fits My Real Life
What I realized quickly is this:
I don’t need a whole new wardrobe.
I need better intention with what I already have.
This series helped me focus on outfits that are:
– Comfortable enough for long work days
– Put together enough to feel confident
– Realistic for a mom on the go
Nothing extra. Nothing forced.
Just pieces that make sense.
Look 1: Soft Structure, Easy Confidence
That blue striped dress moment? Yeah… that one did something for me.

It’s the perfect example of what this series is about:
– Breathable
– Flowy but still structured
– Easy to throw on, but looks like I tried
Paired with a neutral handbag and simple accessories, it gave me that “I’m put together without doing the most” energy.
Everything from this look is linked on my LTK
Look 2: Layered, Functional, Still Cute
This outfit right here is real life.

A cropped jacket, a simple skirt, tights, and ankle boots.
This is the kind of outfit that:
– Works for unpredictable weather
– Moves with me throughout the day
– Still feels styled, not basic
It reminded me that layering doesn’t have to be complicated. It just has to make sense.

Look 3: Soft, Feminine, and Comfortable
This one might be my favorite.

A fitted top with a flowy skirt, soft tones, and minimal effort—but it still feels elevated.
And if I’m being honest?
This is the version of me I’m reconnecting with.
Feminine. Soft. Present.
Not shrinking myself. Not hiding my body. Just dressing it as it is… today.

Redefining My Body + My Style
Let me say this plainly:
My body is not the same.
And instead of fighting that… I’m learning it.
This series helped me:
– Stop dressing for who I used to be
– Start dressing for who I am right now
– Find confidence in the “in-between”
Because the truth is… there is no “after.”
There’s just now.
And I deserve to feel good now.
The Formula That’s Been Working for Me
If you’re in a similar season, here’s what’s been keeping it simple:

– One statement piece (dress, jacket, skirt)
– One neutral anchor (bag, shoes, or base layer)
– Minimal accessories (don’t overthink it)
That’s it.
No overcomplicating. No pressure.

Keeping It Practical (and Linkable)
Everything I’ve been wearing this month is intentionally:
– Affordable or rewearable
– Easy to mix and match
– Linked on my LikeToKnowIt
Because if I can’t wear it multiple ways… I don’t need it.
Closing Out April
April taught me that being intentional doesn’t mean doing more.
It means:
– Being present
– Making small choices that reflect how you want to feel
– Showing up—even on the regular days
This series wasn’t about outfits.
It was about reconnecting with myself.
Stepping Into May…
Now that I’ve found my rhythm, May is going to build on this.
Think:
– Lighter fabrics
– More skirt + blouse combos
– Easy work-to-weekend looks
– Soft color palettes with a little bold moment here and there
Still real life.
Still intentional.
Just… a little more elevated.
Final Thought..
If you’re in a season where life feels full, busy, or transitional…
You don’t need to wait to feel like yourself again.
Start small.
Get dressed.
Be intentional.
Show up anyway.
That’s where it begins.
